The first committee meeting of 2010 will take place on Monday January 25th in the clubhouse at 8pm.

Over the winter 2 youth cricket academies have been running in North County (Tues and Wed) and Wesley (Sat). They are run by Reinhard Strydom and Albert Van de Merwe and having seen them operate I can vouch for their excellence.  They wll run again from February and will bring players up to the beginning of the season. You will see that they are also catering for girls in their Saturday sessions from February.  Anyone interested should contact them as soon as possible as places will surely fill up quickly.

We ended 2009 on a sad note and must begin 2010 in similar circumstances, noting the death of John Lyon. John was coach in Clontarf for many years, and continues to have an immeasurable influence on the on-field successes of the club. Generations of players were coached by him in Castle Avenue, many of whom earned subsequent representative honours.

The President, Honorary Secretary and executive committee express condolences on behalf of the club.
