The Hills C.C. yesterday clinched the WM League Section A Title. Accordingly, the proposed re-fix game between our 1st XI and North County at Castle Avenue next Wednesday will NOT now take place.
I wish to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their co-operation during what was an extremely difficult season weather - wise for fixtures.

First things fisrt, well done to 3rds on winning their last game to secure the promotion into senior 3. I would to thank the 3rds team on yet another great season and pat yourself on the back for putting in a huge effort this summer to finally put ourselves back into senior 3 where Clontarf 3rds should be and belong. I would also like to Thank all the lads who filled in when players were missing and especially the lads who came in on very short notice. You lads also played a major part in helping the 3rds promotion and can also take a lot of credit for doing so.
On another note it was a great honour for me in been your captain for the last three seasons and helping me through the lows and celebrating our highs in which there were a hell a lot more of them as promotion has proved from middle B to Senior 3. Since I won’t be around next summer to crack the whip as its worn out anyway, I expect you to treat the new incoming captain in the same way as I was treated. Put in the Hard Work lads and stay up or even win yet another League.
Well done to the rest of the teams on their seasons. Clonarf C.C is what you want to make of it whether its serious or social cricket its good to be part of a great club.

The 3rds have responded quickly to the call for season averages, and these now appear on the 3XI tab at the top of the page. Thanks to Robert for putting these together.
I realise some of the other club teams have matches remaining, but all club teams are invited to send in what they have when things wrap up and I’ll post them for all to enjoy over the winter months!
