North County made 257 for 6 in 50 overs, Clontarf made quite a bit less than that.  Apologies for the lack of detail, but the less said the better.

111 a not so perfect totient number!!!

by Sunny Uncategorized No Comments

Never believed 111 could be an ill omen, especially in cricket. After scoring a ‘Nelson’ at the North County, the unlucky charm that goes with the number has come back to haunt me. No wonder my inter-digital cleft was ripped apart and later when I got back to bat in the 2nd innings I was clean bowled for a ‘golden duck’ (the first one I ever scored) and I am forced to sit out the next  three games. Now I believe… 111 weave’s its magic (black magic). Ha ha ha!!! Well folks, I might not be as superstitious as David Shepherd, but watch out for that little jump I would perform as a superstitious ritual the next time I come out to bat (hope it is the following Sunday).

Hey Lindy, though delayed, thank you for that lovely write up you’ve given us a couple of weeks back. I guess all those pretty colours that went into the score book deserved a very good victory… and that we did!

And finally best wishes for my team as they take on North County tomorrow. C’mon Tarf!!!

Results

The firsts restricted the Hills to 202 for 9 in 50 overs in the WMK league, but were all out for 163 in reply. Rod made 49.  Match report here.

The 3rds made 183 against The Hills away and lost in the final over.

The 5ths played Leinster away in the Junior cup, and have bowled them out for 96. They chased it without loss for a great victory with Chris Padget making 54*.  Earlier Pavan took 5 for 37 and Brian Cotter took 3 wickets.
